3Com Scores Another Market Share Victory to Extend its Leadership in Gigabit Over Copper Ethernet Networking Solutions
MISSISSAUGA, ONT. - January 23, 2002 - Market research firm Cahners In-Stat, Phoenix, Arizona, reports that 3Com has strengthened its leadership position in the copper-based Gigabit Ethernet market with 29.8 percent of the market's switch ports shipped worldwide during the third quarter of calendar year 2001. 3Com shipped a total of 35 thousand Gigabit Ethernet over Copper ports, according to the figures in the report.
